I received an email yesterday claiming to be from the IRS. The IRS never sends unsolicited emails so I was suspicious. Heard about the scourge of Identity Theft?

If you get an email like this DO NOT RESPOND. THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM! Forward the phoney email to the IRS. Check out the IRS page at http://www.irs.gov/privacy/article/0,,id=179820,00.html for instructions. Meanwhile, don't get hosed by identity theives.
