"Biskit", my service dog.
I call her "Quick."
I'm W. Andrew Wilson. During 1968, the height of the VietNam War, I was a part time Huey door gunner and full time helicopter parts master thief for the 483rd Tech Supply. The 483rd was attached to the 281st Assault Helicopter Company, a part of the 1st Aviation Brigade that was attatched to the 5th Special Forces (Green Berets) in NhaTrang, a beautiful Colonial French beach town. Nha Trang had never been hit since the Vietnamese drove the French out in the mid fifties. It was spared because the North Vietnamese Army used it for a Rest and Recuperation center and because it was a center of Buddhism with an enormous Buddha on the side of the mountain. Here's a picture of the NhaTrang Buddha.
The picture of Biskit is an easter egg patch, for those of you in the know.

They called me "The Ghost" of the 483rd because they could look right at me. I just couldn't be seen.
When not hospitalized or in therapy I sometimes paint oils or water colors.

I don't attend any church, as my PTSD keeps me away from crowds. Having said that, I'm a deep believer in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don't agree with every jot and tittle of church policies and programs. It's an organization run by people, all volunteers at that; no paid clergy. I can't abide with the conformity that is inculcated here in Utah, but I would give my life for the core concept Joseph Smith taught the world: A person does not need a church, or a priest, or pope to have a one on one experience with God, to experience Truth for themselves. There is a prophet alive on the earth today. I love him. His name is Tommy. Watch a video of Tommy here.
